This past week were fortunate enough to be invited to Chicago’s ABC affiliate to discuss what to do with a broken iDevice (iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch). It was the first time I’d ever been on TV and it turned out to be a pretty cool experience – despite some small nerves before hand.
The video below shows exactly what happened. Not a chance to discuss much in 3 minutes – I showed how to replace the battery on an iPhone 4, talked a bit about what to do with a water damaged iPhone, demonstrated how many tiny components are involved in taking apart an iPhone 4S, and let one of the anchors toss an iPad on the floor with a Big Grips case on it (which was kind of fun).
Since we didn’t get the chance to talk a ton about what a person’s options are with a broken iDevice, I figured I’d give anyone interested the chance to ask me directly. Just comment below and I’ll do my best to answer any of your questions.
Lastly, I’d like to say a special thank you to Shannan Bunting of Solstice Communications for getting us this opportunity. If you’re a small business person in Chicago looking for some PR help, I highly recommend her.
One last note: I’ll work on getting a new version of this video without the short commercial in the front. For now, you’ll have to endure that 10-15 seconds. Sorry about that.
