Introducing TechUnwreck

Posted by Matt McCormick on April 8, 2021

You’ll notice the JCD website is highly focused on retail customers. It’s easy to see that, if you have a broken iPhone or iPad, you can walk into one of our stores and usually walk out in about 30 minutes with a fixed device. However, since 2014, we’ve also been doing bulk, mail-in repairs for schools (and a few businesses) – but that kind of information has been hard to find on our site. Until now…

Introducing TechUnwreck. It’s the same school device repair business we’ve been building since 2014 but with a new name. Unlike the jcdrepair.com site, this new site is 100% focused on bulk, mail-in repairs for schools & business.

What can you expect from TechUnwreck?

Have you been working with JCD for awhile? Maybe you were referred by a colleague? No need to worry, it’s still the same people, in the same space, performing the same great work we have been for years. It’s just a new name, logo, website, and different business cards.

In other words, you can expect a great service. Here is a snippet straight from our TechUnwreck mission statement:

Be the best and most trusted mail-in device repair company for schools, businesses, and government. We define “best” as being the easiest solution for customers while also offering high-quality work at a competitive price with a reasonable turnaround time.

Actually, there have been some changes.

Some things are a little different because of how busy the past year has been. Our business has tripled as many schools have gone 1-to-1 to facilitate students’ virtual learning. That has definitely created challenges for our business – “good” problems are still problems though, and we’ve made a number of big changes the past 6 months to meet those challenges:
